Season #1: The Rise of Two Powers

Episode #1

“Life Has Changed”

•  The Sk8ers are introduced and are shown doing everything that consumes them; skateboarding, rapping, listening to music, surfing the net with the twins, and playing with their smart phones.

•  The Sk8ers meet Lantoos and he shows the them a video that depicts Lorn’s background, his transition to evil, and the Earth’s demise.

•  The Sk8ers are given their super powered skateboards, agree to help Lantoos, and are shown the simulation room along with some of its capabilities.

Episode #2

“A New Evil is Born”

•  The Sk8ers start the training regiment.  Lantoos takes them to the spaceship and puts them into a “learning chamber” that quickly transmits an incredible amount of data to their brains using electromagnetic radiation that has the same frequency as brain waves.

•  Once the preliminary information download completes, the Sk8ers are guided through various tests, fighting scenarios,  and obstacle courses in order to baseline their natural skill levels.  Austin scores the highest and starts the simulation-based training module.

•  During training, Austin is confronted by a simulated bully that was created to mirror a bully that has been pestering him his entire childhood.  In the scenario the bully doesn’t pose a threat but Austin abuses his new-found skills and pays him back for the years of torment.

•  Lantoos is forced to stop the simulation and lecture Austin about the responsibility that comes with his new gifts.

•  Lorn’s henchmen fail to create an environmental disaster and Lorn concludes that they’ll never be able to create the pollution necessary to get the clean-up contracts needed to fund Calypso and the creation of his super army.

•  Lorn realizes that he needs to create the Anti-humans to lead his bumbling minions, restarts the genetics work that he performed for the terrorists, and completes the mutation accelerator.

Episode #3

“Not as Easy as it Looks”

•  Tristen and Melina have problems with their initial training. Tristen just can’t grasp martial arts and Melina can’t get her skateboard’s force shield to work correctly.

•  Melina finally gets it, and after hilarious exhaustive attempts in the simulator, Lantoos realizes that Tristen will need to fight more with his brain than with his hands.

•  Lantoos detects a disturbance and somewhat prematurely sends the Sk8ers on a mission to stop Lorn’s henchmen from robbing a bank.

• The Sk8ers put together a plan, but can’t agree on an approach.  Melina wants to explain to the henchmen that Lorn is evil and that they should just give up and go home and Austin wants to go in, no questions asked, and use their powers and fighting skills to the fullest.

•  They arrive at the bank and Melina starts talking to the lead henchman .  The henchman acts nice, but just as Melina’s guard goes down he pulls her off of her skateboard and two others tie her up.  Austin and Tristen attack but their  fighting skills are rusty and they don’t know the best way to utilize their skateboard’s powers.  Eventually they both get on Austin’s board, turn invisible, and free Melina but aren’t able to stop the henchmen from fleeing the scene with loads of cash.

•  Lorn attempts to create Anti-humans by putting some of his henchmen into the mutation accelerator and mixing their DNA with that of various insects.

•  The initial attempts fail and the henchmen exit the accelerator as useless mixes of the two species.  For example, Lorn mixes a henchman with a beetle and the product has tiny feet, a huge shell, and a small head.  It’s so top heavy that it falls down onto its back and isn’t capable of standing up.

•  Lorn continues to change the accelerator's settings, and after multiple comical attempts it’s optimized.  Lorn is ready to create his first general!

•  The Sk8ers return to Lantoos and tell him what happened.  Lantoos lectures the kids about working together, but it doesn’t seem to change Austin or Melina’s opinion.

Episode #4

“The Creation has Started”

• The Sk8ers continue their simulation training and Tristen develops a device that can be used to record one’s voice and play it back so that it sounds like any other voice that the device has recorded. He records each of the Sk8er’s voices and the kids mess around by playing back their statements using each other’s voices.

• Lantoos’ disturbance sensor detects a break-in at a cryogenics laboratory that has been used to preserve the  brains of two geniuses, Albert Einstein and Bobby Fischer.

•  Lorn wants the DNA for the intelligence aspect of Calypso’s brain and has sent his henchmen to get it.

•  Lantoos sends the freshly trained Super Sk8ers on a mission to stop them.

•  The Sk8ers mission is only a partial success and they prevent Lorn’s men from getting one of the two brains.

•  The henchmen return and explain the failure to Lorn.  Lorn is appalled that “kids” thwarted their efforts and sends them back.

•  Lantoos explains to Sk8ers that the reason they failed was because they didn’t work as a team.

•  Lantoos puts them through a training exercise that requires team work and they practice until they perfect multiple teamwork-based skills such as using their skateboards’ powers as a group.

•  Lorn’s henchmen re-attempt to get the second brain but the Sk8ers apply their newly learned teamwork, put together a well coordinated flawless flight, and stop them.  The Sk8ers are excited, feel invincible, and can’t wait to communicate their success to Lantoos.

•  Lorn belittles his henchmen and concludes that enough is enough…he needs to create his generals.

Episode #5

“The Mantis”

•  Lieutenant Booker dominates boot camp and rises to the head of his class.

•  Near the end of boot camp Booker disobeys an order and loses his top spot and promotion to Lieutenant Drake.

•  Drake’s platoon gets called into active duty and Booker disobeys another direct order causing two of his platoon members to be captured; Booker is dishonorably discharged.

•  The Super Sk8ers trick the Twins’ dad into buying them ninja equipment and new technology by fabricating a fake usage for each item. (nunchucks, a bo, spiked gloves and boots used for climbing trees, suction cups for climbing walls, a drone etc.)

•  The Sk8ers go to Lantoos’ space ship and hone their skills with the new equipment in the “simulation room”.

•  Lorn and his henchmen kidnap Booker and bring him to the compound.

•  At first Booker is mad, but when Lorn explains his plan Booker is quick to join forces as he too wants to get revenge on the government and its military.

•  Booker enters the mutation accelerator and the MANTIS is born!

Episode #6

“A Hammer is Forming”

•  Abdi and his henchmen highjack an oil tanker off the coast of Africa and hold it for ransom.

•  US special forces free the tanker during a covert mission and capture Abdi.

•  Abdi is brought to the United States and put into a Supermax military penitentiary.

•  Dr. Lorn sees the stock market as a potential opportunity to quickly raise funds and attends an investor’s conference that draws the worlds best and brightest financial minds.

•  In transit, he reads of Abdi’s capture in the newspaper and orders Mantis and his henchmen to break him out.

•  Lantoos detects the “disturbance” and sends the Sk8ers to the prison holding Abdi.

•  Lorn’s henchmen raid the prison and overtake the guards, but the Sk8ers show up and once again execute a well-coordinated fight.  Their skills are improving rapidly and the Sk8ers subdue the henchmen prior to their blowing up the concrete wall that stands between Abdi and the free world.

•  Mantis arrives, reorganizes his men and launches a final attack.

•  The Sk8ers successfully battle Lorn’s men and come face to face with Mantis. They use Melina’s skateboard to form a force shield in front of the wall.  They make faces from behind the force shield and taunt Mantis.

•  Mantis winds up and launches his club-like fists into the force shield. The impact is nothing like the Sk8ers have every experienced and it sends them flying. Mantis unloads his fist again, smashes the wall, and frees Abdi.

•  The Sk8ers are lying on the ground confused.

•  Lorn enters the investor’s conference and introduces himself to Jack Bennett.

Episode #7

“Practice Makes Perfect”

•  Jack Bennett explains an investment strategy to Lorn.

•  The Sk8ers return to Lantoos mentally and physically exhausted and describe their encounter with Mantis, Lorn’s new general.  Lantoos explains Lorn’s plan and sends the Sk8ers to the space ship for advanced training.

•  Lorn agrees to Bennett’s strategy and sets up a time in which they will meet again.

•  The Sk8ers are allowed to take the twins, Marty and Elvin, to the space ship for the first time.  They meet Lantoos and promise not to divulge anything.

•  The Sk8ers battle simulated mutants created by Lantoos.  He creates them one at a time and the Sk8ers learn how to defeat each of them with the twins’ help.  Once the mutant is created, the twins research its parts (I.E, half snake half man) on the internet and relay its weakness to the Sk8ers.

•  Lantoos discusses the importance of communication and teamwork and tells the Sk8ers that communication with the twins will be critical in many of their future battles.

•   Abdi is taken to Lorn’s compound and is introduced to Lorn and Mantis.

•   Lorn explains that Abdi will be an integral part of an invincible army and tells him to enter the mutation accelerator.

•   Abdi is reluctant and Lorn realizes that action speaks louder than words.  He gives three of his henchmen guns and instructs them to kill Mantis.  They hesitate and Lorn says “one more thing”. Lorn shuts off the lights and Mantis uses his ability to see heat emissions to easily takeout the henchmen.  Lorn turns the lights back on and Mantis throws one of the guns into the air and uses his club-like fist to turn it into dust.

•   Abdi praises his skills, enters the accelerator, and Hammerhead is born!

Episode #8

“More Firepower”

•  Mantis and some of Lorn’s henchmen raid a military installation in an attempt to steal state-of-the-art high energy LASER weapons.

•  Mantis does a lot of damage, but in the end, they are simply out gunned and are forced to retreat.

•  Lorn meets with Jack Bennett and gives him a briefcase filled with 5 million dollars. During his meeting he receives a phone call and learns of his team’s failure.  He tells Jack he wants to know what cryptocurrency his money will be invested in by tomorrow and leaves.

•  Lorn makes another call to a well known Mafia boss and arms dealer.  He will ensure that they are never out gunned again.

•  Lorn and Mantis (in disguise) meet Dino Vittorio at a restaurant and sit as Dino finishes an extra large pizza and a plate of spaghetti.

•  After the meal they go out back and Vittorio opens the trunk of a car exposing M16s, AK-47s, grenade launchers, and even a flame thrower.  Lorn is impressed.

•  Dino starts talking about his crime family and is clearly frustrated that the BOSS chose his younger brother as his successor and told Dino it was because he was too fat and lazy.  Lorn tells him about his super army and that he’s looking for generals.  He tells Dino that if he joins him he can run the entire East Coast operation.

•  Dino is hesitant .  Lorn starts to divulge his master plan but is interrupted when a police car drives up in a raging furry. Two cops exit the car and draw their guns.

•  Before anyone knows what’s going on, Mantis springs into the air and flips from one officer to the other disarming them in the process.

•  He then winds up and drives his hammer fist through the hood of the police car, splitting the front section in two.

•  They tie up the cops and throw them in the car’s trunk.

•  Mantis takes off his hood and reveals his true identity.

•  Dino likes what he sees and agrees to undergo a transformation after Lorn tells him that he can  eliminate his gut and turn him into a muscular beast.

•  They return to Lorn’s compound and Dino enters the mutation accelerator. Out comes GORZILLA!

Episode #9

“Upgrades Required”

•  It’s been five days since Lorn has heard from Jack Bennett and he realizes that he’s been scammed.

•  Lorn floods the city with his men to disseminate word that there is a large reward for any information leading to Bennett’s capture.

•  Lantoos’ disturbance sensor is triggered but Lantoos has trouble determining what the problem is.

•  Lantoos sends the Sk8ers into the city with orders to locate the Generals and track them.

•  The SK8ers enter the city but don’t really know where to start.  They contact the twins and the twins hack into the city’s security camera data base and monitor all of the footage for signs of Lorn or his Generals.

•  The twins locate Gorzilla.  He has used one of his old Mafia contacts to locate Johnny, one of Bennett’s old friends.  The twins watch in awe as Gorzilla picks up Johnny’s car and threatens to smash it if he doesn’t divulge Bennett’s location.  Johnny spills the beans, and tells Gorzilla that Bennett is hiding on a house boat off the coast of East Beach.

•  Gorzilla informs Lorn by cell phone and the twins intercept the call.  They learn that an unknown General named “Hammerhead” has been ordered to bring Bennett back to Lorn’s compound.

• The Sk8ers need to get to the pier fast and comically use the invisibility function of Austin’s skateboard as well as Tristen’s flying board to do so.

•  Bennett is relaxing on his boat as Hammerhead swims through the water full speed ahead.

•  The Sk8ers get to the pier but realize that they have no way of getting to Bennett’s boat.  They attempt to fly, but Tristen’s board is only capable of a minute of flight time.  They crash into the water, but quickly latch onto Melina’s board and activate the force shield.  The shield surrounds them and traps enough air to serve as a floatation device.  They are extremely frustrated and swim back to shore.

•  Hammerhead approaches Bennett’s boat, doesn’t slow down, and rams his head through the side.

•  The boat quickly sinks and Hammerhead secures Bennett.

•  The Sk8ers make it to shore with their energy depleted.

Episode #10

“The Stage is Set”

•  The Sk8ers go back to Austin’s house and discuss their failure with Lantoos.  Lantoos explains that he can help them adapt as he learns more details about Lorn’s Generals’ capabilities.

•  Lantoos takes their skateboards, enters the transporter, and beams to the spaceship.

•  Bennett is tied to a chair in Lorn’s compound and has a bag on his head.

•  There is a large display in the back of the compound that is covered with a canvass tarp.  Lorn’s Generals ask what it is but Lorn simply remains silent and flashes a devious grin.

•  Lorn removes the bag and Bennett stares at Lorn and his Generals in disbelief.  He panics and starts to beg for forgiveness.

•  Lorn calms him and tells him that he is forgiven…but only if he joins his army as the general in charge of strategic planning.

•  Bennett understands the consequences of turning down the offer and agrees to join.  Lorn is satisfied and offers to provide Bennett a cutting edge eye surgery that will allow him to get rid of his coke-bottle glasses for good.

•  Bennett is pleased and enters what he believes to be a cutting edge LASER eye surgery chamber.

•  Lantoos reemerges and shows the Sk8ers their upgraded skateboards.  They now emit an energy field out of the back that serves as a way to propel them through the water.

•  He also shows them three wetsuits that have gill-like features on their sides.  The features are made from an alien technology and act like real gills, pulling oxygen from the water and pumping it into the suits.  The Sk8ers are now equipped for under water missions!

•  Bennett exits the accelerator and his eyesight is amazing.  He starts to praise Lorn.  Lorn hands him a mirror and he sees that he has been transformed!  He drops to his knees and Lorn grabs him by both shoulders. “That’s what happens when you double cross me, remember that…beak boy”.

•  The Sk8ers practice using their new boards and suits in an under water training simulation.

•  Lorn takes his generals into a back room and they all stare at the object underneath the tarp .  He explains his company and the plans to get the money that is required to build his super army.

•  He pulls the tarp off and we see downtown East Beach covered in slime with a sign that says.  “Clean-up cost $25,000,000”.

Season #2: The Fall of East Beach (outline)

•  Season two’s episodes will mainly be driven by Lorn’s need to collect the funds necessary to manufacture his super army but will also have a sub-plot focused on gathering the DNA necessary to optimize Calypso’s brain.

•  In order to get the $25,000,000 million needed for the army, Lorn needs to ensure that  is East Beach is completely contaminated.

•  Early in the season Lorn will expose the steps needed to do so and each step will be the focus of an episode.

•  The Sk8ers will always battle Lorn and his men and will win most of the time. This causes Lorn to constantly expand his army and add more Generals and equipment.

•  During the middle of the season the Sk8er’s different personalities and approaches to their battles cause more and more missions to fail, giving Lorn the upper hand.

•  Lantoos tries to help by adding powers to their skateboards and providing them with new training.  Tristen will also develop some helpful gadgets.

•   The added powers and gadgets improve the Sk8ers’ abilities but It becomes evident that they won’t be able to defeat Lorn unless they put their differences aside and work as a team.

•  Austin starts to develop feelings for Melina and finally starts to listen to some of her advice.

•  The twins continue to support the Sk8ers and get some training of their own.

•  As the season progresses the Sk8ers still don’t fully reconcile their differences but they learn to

compromise when it’s time to battle Lorn.  Although, mission pre-planning and other daily activities still result in their banging heads.

•  In the end, Lorn’s plan is only a partial success and East Beach is only partially contaminated.

•  Lorn needs to chose a new city to contaminate or change his plans all together.
